The challenge
Make complex expertise
easier to assess.
MLEI had the depth: multidisciplinary engineering, specialist markets, projects across regions and a team built around technical judgement. The website needed to help a prospective client understand that experience—and find the part relevant to their project.
The earlier experience brought a lot of information forward at once. Our task was to create a clearer order: who MLEI is, what the practice can do, evidence of its work and how to start a conversation.
What we changed
A clearer identity.
A more useful journey.
- 01
Make the practice recognisable.
A considered colour system, distinctive pattern, typography and consistent imagery bring the brand together. The website gives the work more room without losing the technical character of the practice.
- 02
Put relevant experience within reach.
Clearer capability and project paths help visitors move from an overview to the expertise they need. The homepage introduces the practice, then points towards projects and the capability statement.
- 03
Give each enquiry a clearer destination.
The Contact page brings the enquiry form forward. An office-aware form lets visitors choose the relevant team while keeping the details they have already entered. Office information and the map remain available for people who need them.
The work behind the website
More than a visual refresh.
Brand & content
Strategy, identity and a clearer way to present the practice’s expertise across its website.
Website & CMS
Design and development, with structured pathways through capabilities, projects, people and offices.
Enquiry experience
Office-aware contact forms and capability-statement calls to action connected to a reusable form.
Search continuity
Legacy-URL mapping and permanent redirects supporting acquisition-led website consolidation.
A clearer experience
From first impression
to relevant proof.
The change is visible in the journey: a more consistent identity, clearer routes into MLEI’s work and an enquiry page designed around the next conversation.
This case study shows the design and delivery work. Search growth and lead quality are separate outcomes to measure over time—not conclusions drawn from before-and-after images.
